Forks, WA: Twilight Theme Town

Forks, WA is one of the wettest (and therefore least sunny) towns in the continental United States. This fact alone is why Stephanie Meyer chose it at the setting for her Twilight Series.

Forks was a logging town, but the environmental impacts ended that industry in the town. Consequently, Forks has gone all in on the tourism business and has fully embraced Twilight fans.

Since we were there on a rare sunny day, the risk of encountering vampires was low:

We stopped at River Burgers and experienced how the restaurant embraces the theme.

We had a little trunkgate lunch since even though there was sun, it had still been raining that morning and there was no dry place to sit. Mom kept her yummy Jacob Black Milkshake to her self, but did share a bit of her burger and tater tots with me 🙂
