Current Status
It’s been a little while so an update is overdue. Many of you have wondered how I was able to stay remote and travel while working for the government. I had found a loophole, but that loophole has been closed. I knew I was living on borrowed time, but the sand is quickly running out of the hourglass.
In April, I learned my remote status would not be renewed for another year. While frustrating, I am so grateful for the fantastic managers in the Bureau of Economics at the FTC that have graciously worked with me to find a timeline and location that would allow me to reasonably and comfortably return to office.
Rather than returning to headquarters in DC, I will be starting at the Cleveland regional office 9/1.
I will admit this policy is frustrating as all my meetings and work will still be remote. So I will use this opportunity to remind you to register to vote and vote in November! Your voice matters! And your vote isn’t just politics, it impacts the lives of real people.
In the meantime, I am on the road for the summer in Oregon and will be posting updates here so stay tuned.
